Valentine’s Day is here, which means there are a lot of engagement rings stashed away in someone’s pocket anticipating the right moment to ask the question: "Will you marry me?". A proposal is an unforgettable instant where life feels like it stands still and the future is wide open.
I distinctly remember mine. My now-husband and I were visiting the Metropolitan Museum of Art Roof Garden sculpture exhibit, one of my beloved places in NYC. Under a perfect spring sky and an incredible work of art, he kneeled and asked the question. I said YES!! The moment was simple and intimate even with the crowds all surrounding us. It was perfect! The ring was a vintage diamond ring.
I have photographed many rings over the years, either as details, on engagement sessions or during the "I do’s" at ceremony time. I adore how they describe couples' personalities from the modern to the classic and vintage... and sometimes even the silly.
